Remember the promises of closing the attainment gap, smaller class sizes, etc, etc, etc. Well apparently the number of specialist support teachers in Scotland has hit a 10 year low, with a reduction in the numbers of teachers able to help students that need assisted support reducing in the last 5 years alone by an eye watering 36% in the Western Isles, 33% in Aberdeen, 26% in Edinburgh, 25% in West Lothian and 21% in Glasgow. Still never mind. Tommy Sheppard, leading candidate to become deputy leader of the SNP, believes that old people dying is a good thing, that will help the Nationalist cause. To reinforce the above point I'll ask a question - Do you think Cameron would have called the EuroRef if he thought he was going to lose? At the moment it seems like another Independence referendum before the UK (England & Wales) pull out of the EU is the most probable option and that Scotland will be able to transfer smoothly into the EU as a separate nation.
