I always remember Tony in my early years supporting Saints with the same players alongside him. Connaghan, C Murray, Connell, Fulton, McFadden, etc. This from first game I remember going to although I was told I attended some home matches before Broomfield.       

Bear in mind that three squad members (all 1st team players) left the club before December, so I assume there has been a financial gap in the figures that allows us to look at bringing in someone like this so quickly into the window. I'm very hoeful here, given the majority of signings made over the past year or two. I'm not necessarily thinking that we have to off-load players just as he comes in.
