Most who use this forum, not that many nowadays, have had access and used the Internet for over 20+ years.
That has opened a world unimaginable before the late 90's.
Tonight BBC1 Scotland were discussing the effect pornography is having on society, especially on young people.
Access is on a different universe from "my day" and lazy parenting results in young people having a view on sex as more and more a function rather than mutual enjoyment.
Children having unsupervised access results in a normalisation of gratification or worse.
Children as young as 7 have viewed porn so it's understandable that when they get to the teenage years they have a warped view of sex.
It's not easy to prevent this but it is possible, but too many parents are providing devices too early in a child's development and ignore the potential dangers that lurk on the Internet.
Aye, the nternet is a wonderful invention but also a serious threat to future generations.
