Dykebar Hospital demolition update 21-01-2026: A Million and One memories gone as well as a thousand and One trees, all gone to another use of which we don't know? And over the years Dykebar Hospital, opened in 1909 and whle the grounds have seen thousands of people come and go, as well as those patients and staff who walked around these grounds all year round, it is all memories now. All those memories now remain in the photos and videos to remind us of what was there and what has gone. Photos do that in an instant. The Children of the Future just won't know what it was like or of how Dykebar hospital and grounds were much-loved? Thankfully many of the red sandstone buildings have been retained; all designed by Paisley architect Thomas Graham Abercrombie 1862-1926. | Paisley Heritage SCIO | Facebook
